Holy Avtar Vani - Shabad No. 175
Teri kudrat da he data ant kise nahi paya ey;
Geeta granth te bedan ne vi tera hi jas gaya ey.
Laasani laafani daate kul siftaan ton baahira eyn;
Duniyan de lai gupt ey bhavein bhagtan de lai jaahira eyn.
Hukum tere naal is maya ne jeaan nun bharmaya ey;
Husan jawani da de chakma chakkran de vich paya ey.
Ik til da vi aklaan vale kar sake vistar nahin;
Teri mahima tuhiyon jane tera paravar nahi.
Manmukhan nun saar na teri bhagtan ne pehchan liyai;
Kahe avtar guru ton jis ne rabba tera gyaan liyai.
Meaning
Here Baba Avtar Singh ji says, wayward person could not know you, but a person who received your grace, becomes a devotee by linking with the TrueMaster. No-one has been able to measure the extent of your (God’s) vast creation. The holy scriptures - the Gita, the Adi Granth and the Vedas, all have sung your glory. You are incomparable and immortal. You may be hidden to the world, but you manifest (appear) to a devotee. It is under your command that the materialistic world attracts human beings. And the fascination of beauty and youth keeps them confused. Men of intellect could not illustrate your greatness even by a bit. You only know your greatness, your art is dimensionless. The way-wards do not know you, but the devotees have recognised you. Babaji says, devotees are the ones, who have attained God knowledge from the True Master.
